It is set to be released worldwide as Sanrio Games' first smartphone title.
We got an early hands-on look at this highly anticipated game!

"Sanrio Kawaii Me Live!", a dance and rhythm game, was surprise-announced on stage during the 2026 Sanrio Character Awards results ceremony.
Tap the screen in time with the rhythm to liven up the super KAWAII stage alongside Sanrio characters.
Since the game’s announcement, demo play has been available in the Sanrio Games area.

The main visual, featuring Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Pompompurin forming a band, is just so cute.

The game is set to feature many songs, including those from Sanrio Puroland’s hugely popular parades and tracks that have gone viral on social media.
During this trial play session, I was able to play the 7 songs listed above.

In this game, you can choose from two modes for each song.
" Technical Mode " features notes flowing down four lanes in the classic rhythm game style.
In “Technical Mode,” you can choose from four difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Expert.
Let’s try taking on Expert just for fun…
The volume of notes is on a whole different level!
Slide left and right, or hold down the screen.
It offers a satisfying challenge that really tests your rhythm game skills.
Live performance failed...!
While you might want to enjoy the cute songs and dances of the Sanrio characters, you’re so focused on the game that you hardly have time to watch them.
...And for users like that, there’s another mode available: “ Performance Mode.”
Use simple controls to liven up the stage alongside the Sanrio characters!
Although I was only able to play the “Live” mode during this trial, I confirmed that each character has its own parameters and skills.
In the full version, you’ll be able to level up and change the outfits of the Sanrio characters.
Songs and outfits have attributes, and stage outfits are said to be important for achieving a high score.
Focus on developing each character alongside honing your skills as a player, and aim for that high score!
