Kamimori: While the design is simple, we focused on the unique shape and the ease of pressing the buttons.
I personally think the LED that lights up on the top is also a major plus.
The size is somewhere between the DUALSHOCK 4 and DualSense, so it should fit the hands of many users.
In addition to the back buttons, there are also eight other additional buttons and... uh...

I also believe that a controller with a PlayStation button layout and sticks is something that our users have been wanting.

Kamimori: We have been developing it since last year.
Creating a completely original controller from scratch was a continuous process of trial and error, but we somehow managed to give it a shape.
We are currently making the final adjustments.

Ishii: With the popularity of streamers like k4sen, I have the impression that the number of casual gamers has increased rapidly over the last few years.
With the "GENESIS" priced at 12,980 yen (tax included), we are targeting the casual user base.
We believe there is a demand for casual gamers who still want to play games seriously and get better.

Ishii: The "Void Gaming" brand has experience and a track record of developing custom controllers that are widely used in the competitive scene.
I believe that even though the "GENESIS" is for casual players, we have achieved top-level functionality even by global standards.

k4sen: The design is great.
It's based on black and white, and it also includes the team's image color, yellow.
The pattern from last year's popular uniform is also included, and I'm really happy about that.

Kamimori: ZETA DIVISION's fan base is one of the largest and most dedicated in Japan.
In addition, the collaboration was realized because we resonated with their goal of creating a new culture that goes beyond the framework of esports.

k4sen: I actually used it for a full day.
I've used a lot of different controllers, including ones from overseas, but first and foremost, I see the feel of it when you hold it.
Overseas products are often made a bit larger, but this "GENESIS" has a shape that's easy to hold regardless of your hand size, which I think is great.
Also, while I was playing a game, I started to notice a lot of clever little touches.
For example, you can switch the trigger feel to a clicky feel.
The D-pad buttons also have a tactile feel.
The buttons are 6 buttons—ABXY plus Z and C—so it's compatible with fighting games, too.
There's no unnecessary give in the sticks, so it's good for fine-tuned movements.
The top surface of the sticks has a concave shape, so it's easy to grip with your fingers.
The M buttons, which extend the LR buttons, are unique and have a really good feel.
The back buttons are also large and easy to press.
The F1 to F4 buttons can even be used for switching scenes in streaming software.
I'm sorry, that was a lot (laughs).
I was really impressed by how much it can do.
And the fact that it's just 12,980 yen (tax included) is shocking.

k4sen: There were so many different shots, weren't there?
You probably can't imagine this, but the part that took the longest to shoot was the very end, where Oniya says "Uoh." We redid that about 10 times!? Doesn't that sound ridiculous? (laughs)
KH and I were on a really tight schedule, and KH was like, "Hey, enough already" (laughs).
I was happy that the fans told me my acting was good.
I guess I have a potential career in this after all...! (laughs)

Kamimori: We want to reach even more gamers through IP collaborations with VTubers and anime, which are strong in Japan.
Also, we are steadily making progress in our global expansion, and we will work hard to be the brand people think of when they think of gamer brands.
