Tokyo Game Show 2022 " (TGS2022) was held from Thursday, September 15 to Sunday, September 18, 2022.
It was the first time in three years that the show was held offline, and all the booths were crowded!
There were long lines to try out major games, but many indie games were relatively empty, so if you want to play a variety of titles, I recommend you visit the indie game corner if you are coming to TGS next year!
Now, this time, I, the author, who visited the indie game corner, would like to introduce some of the recommended titles that struck a chord with me!
A battle royale you can earn by playing!
This time, I would like to introduce " Katana Inu," a Play-2-Earn battle royale game that uses the recently popular NFT and crypto asset technologies!
In this game, you can win crypto assets by winning battles!
In addition, you can earn money just by playing the game with NFT character skins, which can be bought and sold.
Play on real machines!
First, choose a character to use!
The following four characters are available to choose from, and so far there seems to be no difference in performance.
- Katana Inu
- BlackChain
- Bear
- Bored Ape
Also, each character seems to have a variety of skins, which certainly makes me want to collect them!
Selling NFTs of characters you don't use regularly and buying NFTs of your favorite characters or collecting them seems like a good idea!
At the TGS venue, visitors were able to play one-on-one matches with other visitors, so let's get to it!
The fighting style of this game is surprisingly a third-person shooter, and you fight by shooting light bullets from your sword.
Although there are other actions such as throwing shurikens, the battle method itself is simple.
However, the high-speed battles with lots of high-speed dashes and two-step jumps were quite fun!
The result of the battle was victory!
It was hard to hit the attack in the battle between beginners, but I got the feeling that after skilled players appear in the future, the battle will unfold exactly like Dragon Ball, and that was exciting!
The game also has other 2-on-2 battle modes in the works, and as the game is billed as a battle royale game, a Battlestar mode with up to 60 players is also being considered.
As with NFT and cryptocurrency, we're excited to see how the game evolves in the future!
