thatgamecompany,Inc. announced today that it will challenge the Guinness World Record for the most concurrent connections at the "gamescom2023" gaming event. sky has developed a proprietary game engine that allows thousands of players from around the world to play simultaneously, and many users have participated in virtual concerts and other events. To challenge the Guinness record this time, the number of simultaneous connections has been expanded to 10,000. We aim to break the world record and open a new history in the gaming world.
The Guinness World Record recognition will be challenged at a 45-minute in-game concert featuring Norwegian singer AURORA (@AURORAmusic ) to be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 22:00 Japan time. The goal is to have over 10,000 players from around the world participate simultaneously on one screen or at the same venue. The event will also feature an encore concert by AURORA and a gaming event to celebrate the Guinness World Record attempt. All those who will be at gamescom on the day of the event, as well as those on all platforms, are invited to participate and witness the Guinness record-breaking moment!
