" Kim Kaphwan " will join the roster of SNK Corporation's fighting game *Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves* (hereinafter *Fatal Fury: CotW*) as the third character in the Season Pass 3 DLC lineup, starting Thursday, September 24, 2026.
Ahead of his debut, a character trailer has been released.
"Kim Kaphwan," South Korea’s strongest Taekwondo master, joins the roster on September 24! All three members of the father-and-son trio are playable for the first time.
Kim Kaphwan is a long-standing character in the series who first appeared in “Fatal Fury 2.”
As he is also a regular in “THE KING OF FIGHTERS” series, he is a very familiar character to fans of SNK titles.
He believes Taekwondo is the world’s strongest martial art and possesses a strong sense of justice that drives him to continue fighting evil.
Many of you probably remember his catchphrase: “ I will not forgive evil! ”

However, in the previous game, "Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves," he stepped down as a playable character as the torch was passed to his sons, Kim Dong-hwan and Kim Jae-hoon.
Although he was limited to a story role in this installment as well, he has finally made a comeback via DLC.
For the first time, the “Kim Family” is assembled as playable characters in the same game.

The " Phoenix Kick "—a move so famous it was even parodied by Deadpool —is, of course, still very much in the game.
The visual effects are reminiscent of *Real Bout Fatal Fury*, and while the game builds on its predecessors, it has evolved to suit the modern era.
Furthermore, the background music features an arrangement of “Soul-ssu♪, ” one of Kim Kaphwan’s theme songs, offering a special treat for longtime Fatal Fury fans.
