Announced at Square Enix Live E3 2019 in June, Final Fantasy VIII has fans everywhere excited for one of the most loved games in the Final Fantasy series to make it's beautiful reappearance.
With half a year until the Final Fantasy VII remake, fans will be able to enjoy some nostalgia to hold them over until its release. With preorders already started, this Remastered FF8 feels closer now than ever before!
About Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy VIII was an RPG released for the PlayStation system in 1999. It was the eighth main installment to the series.
The game still has a large fanbase and is known for its new approach to graphics in the RPG realm, and its unique battle system and story that differed dramatically from past Final Fantasy titles.
The characters are known for their good looks and practical clothing, which also makes them popular choices in the cosplay world.
Remastered with Beautiful Graphics
For 1999, the original version of the game was considered to have stunning graphics, but looking back at the game now... Well... you know.
As the title suggest, Final Fantasy VIII Remastered will have remastered graphics, with beautiful character models that would even be considered good looking in this modern age where game graphics can easily be mistaken for scenes of the real world.
New In-Game Features
As with most remakes and ports these days, all new battle-assist features have been added to the game for a more convenient and story-focused experience.
Remakes on all platforms will have the option HP and ATB to be maked out at all times, along with the ability to turn battle encounters on and off, and the option to speed through most scenes at 3x their normal speed.
Along with all of these features, the Steam version will include options for
- All Items: Possess all items except for a few certain items
- All Abilities: Unlock all abilities for acquired GFs
- GF Max Level: Max out levels for all acquired GFs
- Max Gil: Max out amount of Gil
- Max Magic: Max out stock for all acquired Magic
- All Limit Breaks: Unlock all Limit Breaks
- All Cards: Possess max number of Cards for all except Rare Cards
