Due to the impact of the COVID-19 in recent years, the hosting of various large-scale offline events has been subject to many restrictions. However, thanks to the efforts of everyone who tried various approaches such as online events, hybrid events with both online and offline components, and events with limited attendees, many events have been able to resume in line with the easing of regulations.
The success of the recent EVO Japan 2023, the largest fighting game festival in Japan, attracted a total of 35,000 attendees and was a huge success, demonstrating that everyone is eagerly looking forward to the resumption of offline events.
Next, what everyone is most looking forward to is the Tokyo Game Show 2023, which will be held fromSeptember 21 to September 24, 2023. With the announcement that the event will take place at the entire Makuhari Messe for the first time in four years, it is expected to be the largest exhibition ever. One of the most anticipated features of the Tokyo Game Show is the Game of the Year category of the Japan Game Awards.
Every year, people around the world eagerly anticipate which games will receive awards. And now, the public voting for the Japan Game Awards 2023 Game of the Year has now begun!
