On Thursday, May 2, 2024, the opening movie for Pawapuro 2024 was released!
While the opening movie is a series tradition, this year's installment seems to have extra effort put into it as a 30th-anniversary work.
It has been crafted as a masterpiece featuring successive legends.
Hiromitsu Ochiai is the only person in Japanese professional baseball history to win the Triple Crown three times.
Randy Bass is the Japanese professional baseball record holder for the highest single-season batting average.
Senichi Hoshino and Katsuya Nomura both livened up the Japanese professional baseball world as great managers after retiring as players.
Of course, the Pawapuro original characters are all gathered as well!
It is an opening movie that will likely make both Japanese professional baseball fans and Powerful Pro Baseball fans get a bit emotional.
The theme song "RELAY" is performed by Bikei Fujiwara, a third-year high school student who won the audition.
