The finals of the " Apex Legends " division at the " Esports World Cup 2026 " (hereinafter "EWC 2026"), an official offline international tournament for "Apex Legends," were held on Saturday, July 12, 2026.
" UNLIMIT " emerged victorious after a fierce battle, becoming the first Japanese team in FPS history to win a world championship.

The "Apex Legends" division of EWC 2026 is one of the official offline international tournaments for Apex Legends.
Forty teams from regions around the world competed in the tournament, battling fiercely for a total prize pool of $2 million.
The Japanese team “UNLIMIT” emerged victorious!
This marks the first time a Japanese team has won a world championship in FPS history.

How did the four teams that made it to the finals fare...? The final match was an all-Japanese showdown between "UNLIMIT" and "ZETA DIVISION."
After five days of intense competition, three Japanese teams advanced to the finals, which were held in a Match Point format!

Additionally, “ENTER FORCE.36,” featuring Korean players, competed from APAC North.
The entire region took on the world’s top teams.

They secured 5th place overall in the Survival Stage and advanced to the Finals on their own merits despite facing a series of tough matches.
Although they finished in 20th place overall, as the Korean team representing APAC North, they made a strong impression on the world stage.
ZETA DIVISION
"ZETA DIVISION" steadily accumulated points and reached Match Point in Game 8 —the fastest among all Japanese teams.
In the final stretch, they were locked in a head-to-head battle with "UNLIMIT" and fought for the championship until the very end.
Although they fell just short of becoming the first Japanese team to win the title, they achieved an impressive 5th place finish worldwide!
REJECT
Facing tough conditions, “REJECT” recorded 13 kills and 25 points in Game 8 to finish first in that match.
They kept their hopes of victory alive until the very end and finished in 11th place worldwide.
UNLIMIT
"UNLIMIT" defeated "Sentinels" —who had already reached Match Point—in Game 7, preventing them from winning the tournament.
Riding that momentum, they reached Match Point—the condition for winning the championship—in Game 9.
In the final match, the competition came down to a head-to-head showdown between the two remaining Japanese teams: "UNLIMIT" and "ZETA DIVISION"!
Ultimately, they defeated "ZETA DIVISION" and claimed the glory of becoming the first Japanese team to win a world championship.
"UNLIMIT" Takes the Title! Player Xtsuvi Shares His Thoughts
"UNLIT," which fought its way through the tournament to reach the top of the world,
in addition to approximately 96 million yen in prize money, earned Championship Points toward qualifying for the ALGS Championship to be held in Sapporo from Thursday, January 28, to Sunday, January 31, 2027.
Furthermore, Peace was named MVP of the tournament!

The early game was a bit tough—my plays weren’t going well, and I didn’t get off to a great start—but my two teammates are truly the best, so I trusted them and gave it my all.
There were some tough moments, but I’m really happy we were able to overcome them and win the championship.
