The popular " Final Fantasy " RPG series will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2027.
It has been announced that the Final Fantasy 40th Anniversary Exhibition, “The World of EndlessFantasy, ” which looks back on the series’ history, will be held at the Hyokeikan Hall in theTokyo National Museum!
In addition, a special website for “The World of Endless Fantasy” and an official X account ( @FF40th_EXHIB ) have been launched.

On the newly launched special website and official X account ( @FF40th_EXHIB ), the exhibition’s key visual has been unveiled alongside the caption: “ Whether you’ve saved the world before or are just about to embark on a new journey.”
Information ontickets that come with exclusive limited-edition merchandiseand other purchaser benefits has also been revealed, and advance sales are already underway.
The exhibition is scheduled to run from Friday, January 8, 2027, through Sunday, April 4, 2027.

As a commemorative event tracing the series’ evolution over the years, this exhibition features a variety of displays, including an area where visitors can get a comprehensive overview of the franchise’s progression through videos and music that look back on past titles.
In addition to iconic scenes from past titles, the exhibition also showcases the stories of the latest releases, “ FINAL FANTASY XIV EVERCOLD ” and “ FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION.”
Furthermore, in addition to viewing the exhibits, interactive content is available that allows visitors to experience the world of FINAL FANTASY firsthand.
A special collaboration between the Tokyo National Museum’s collection of precious cultural treasures and FINAL FANTASY is also taking place, allowing visitors to enjoy a new FF world brought to life in the historic Hyokeikan Hall.

Early-bird, date-specific tickets for the first exhibition period (January 8, 2027 [Fri] – February 5, 2027 [Fri]) are available for advance purchase until 11:59 PM on September 23, 2026 (Wed, National Holiday)!

First Series
The distribution period for the first wave is from Friday, January 8, 2027, to Friday, February 5, 2027. One card will be randomly selected from a set of two and given as a gift.

The upcoming Phase 2 is scheduled to run from Saturday, February 6, 2027, to Friday, March 5, 2027, and Phase 3 is scheduled to run from Saturday, March 6, 2027, to Sunday, April 4, 2027. During each phase, one card will be randomly selected from two designs and given as a gift.
The card designs for the second and third installments will be announced at a later date.
Additionally, tickets for this exhibition will be sold on a “date and time slot reservation basis (first-come, first-served)” for all dates, and purchasers must select either the [Morning] or [Afternoon] time slot at the time of purchase.
