The Pokémon Company released the first paid expansion pack for the Nintendo Switch 2 slow-life sandbox game *Poko a Pokémon*, titled “The Town of Bubbling Undersea,” on Tuesday, August 5, 2026.
To commemorate this, the first-ever real-world event, “Real ‘Poko Poké’ Experience! ‘Bubble Bubble Underwater Town’ at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse,” will be held from Thursday, August 6, 2026, through Sunday, August 9, 2026.

The Area Gate has opened at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse!
Wani-noko, Mizugorou, and Ashimari have rushed to the Area Gate set up in front of the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
In the newly released “Bubbling Underwater Town,” Water-type Pokémon take center stage.
The three of them watch over the gate’s opening while enjoying the sea breeze of Tokyo Bay.
HITOMI ( @pito_820 ), a member of the Pokémon Crew Program, also participated in the opening ceremony.
When you hold up your Pokémon Dex to the gate, an Area Gate opens at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouses.

Once you pass through the newly opened Area Gate...
...you’ll find an area where you can experience the atmosphere of the town at the bottom of the bubbling sea!
Photo spots are scattered throughout the area.
Of course, there’s Ashimari and Waninoko, but also Kibania and Neoranto!
Earn stickers by participating in the habitat-building activity!
In “Poko a Pokémon,” you can create habitats and encounter new Pokémon.
So, there’s a habitat-building experience at the venue, too!

In the center of the venue is something called the “Deep Sea Sparkle Photo Spot.”
Following the instructions, I stepped inside the booth to find a cool, dimly lit space.
At first glance, no one was in sight, but when I took a photo with the flash, Chonchii, Lanturn, Pururiru (Male Form), and Pururiru (Female Form) appeared!
