In commemoration of the release of Konami Digital Entertainment's "GENSOU SUIKODEN I&II HD Remaster: The War of the Gates / Dunan Unification War (hereafter, GENSOU SUIKODEN I&II HD Remaster)", the "GENSOU SUIKODEN I&II HD Remaster" x Pasela collaboration will be heldfrom February 25 (Tuesday) to March 31 (Monday), 2025. The creators talk about the first karaoke collaboration product

The above three speakers took the stage at the talk show. As this was the first karaoke collaboration, the menu and drinks were supervised mainly by Mr. Sakiyama.
Mr. Sakiyama: This is the first collaboration food and drink for the Genso Suikoden series. I have supervised many things in the past, but this is the first time I have supervised food. It was especially fun to recreate the " Gremio's Stew " from the Gensou Suikoden series, a food from the game world.
- Which dish was your favorite?
Mr. Sakiyama: I would have to say the "Gremio's Stew". It is a special stew recipe that can be obtained by fulfilling certain conditions in "Gensou Suikoden II. The ingredients were a mixed stew of pork and shrimp, but this time I prepared it to recreate the stew that Gremio makes at the beginning of "Gensou Suikoden I." The illustrations by Mr. Kono were used to create this stew. The design was based on an illustration drawn by Mr. Kono, and when we had a rough sketch, we had a design idea of a roasted whole chicken, which we used to create this "Gremio's Stew". In the beginning of "Gensuikoden I," the color Gremio is cooking with is the brown color of the dots, so please check it out when you play "Gensuikoden I & II HD Remaster.
- How about you, Mr. Naito?
Mr. Naito: Pasela is known for its honey toast, and I think I like "Mukumuku's Petit Hanito" the best. This time it's just Mukumuku. It is topped with delicious vanilla ice cream, too!
- What is your favorite menu item?
Mr. Ohgushi: I would like to say "Gremio's stew," but what I found interesting this time was the "crest plate of the beginning. I think it is a very interesting idea to put two sentences between two pieces of bread and eat them as one.
Mr. Naito: I hope that people who have never played the game will come to the event and experience a part of Gensou Suikoden. Of course, for those who have played Gensou Suikoden, we would like to start by having a lively conversation about the old days before the release of the game, and after the release of the game, please come and enjoy the menu while playing the game! There are many kinds of drinks, so I think it will be hard to complete them all, but thank you in advance.

In "Gensuikoden II," a mini-game called "Cooking Showdown" takes place when you make the chef Hai Yeo your friend. In the remastered version, some of the dialogue has been changed, and the judges for the "Cooking Showdown" are chosen at random, so it is difficult to see all of the dialogue.
The production team was pleased with the mini-game's high degree of perfection, saying, "You can see unexpected aspects of the characters, and it fully demonstrates the quality of GENSOU SUIKODEN, which features a large number of characters. They gave it their highest recommendation.
Changes and attractions of the game
Mr. Naito: The sound effects, which were also rich in the original work, have been made to feel the original taste as much as possible. Footsteps, the sound of water, and the sound of insects have all been added to create a more realistic environment. The menu screen and UI have also been changed to make it easier to see and use. The battle system has been kept the same as the original, and features that make it easier to play, such as double speed and battle shortcut functions, have been added.
Mr. Sakiyama: As for the characters, all the characters were written by Mr. Kono. Not only the opening, but all of the more than 130 graphics that appear when conversing with the characters have been newly written! I think the fun of Gensou Suikoden is that you can collect 108 characters, come up with your own combinations, and enjoy these battles. I hope players will enjoy the game.
Mr. Ohgushi: Each character has his or her own story, and you can learn about the story of each character when you join them. If you are playing Gensou Suikoden for the first time with the remastered version, I hope you will enjoy finding the characters that appear in the collaboration café in the game.

After the talk show, we actually had some food and drinks! The various drinks were carefully designed to represent the colors of the characters and their weapons.
