Dragon's Dogma 2 lets players enjoy open-ended adventures in a classic fantasy universe.
By picking up Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, launching on Friday, October 9, 2026, players can dive into fresh storylines and expanded gameplay experiences.
A Gameplay Cycle Overview Video released on the official Capcom YouTube channel showcases the new content, spanning three key additions as follows:
- New story content Forsaken Dominion, set in the far northern land of Norgan
- Challenge content Lost Rites, challenging players across 12 diverse dungeon variations
- Hairstyles & Tattoos, adding further customization options to character creation
Furthermore, ahead of Dark Arisen's release, Capcom rolled out major update TU3.2 on existing platforms for Dragon's Dogma 2, enhancing quality-of-life through improved framerates and expanded save slots.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version, representing the franchise's first appearance on the platform, launches as a complete package combining the base game with the new expansion content.
For PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, the new content will also arrive as an Expansion DLC, allowing players who already own Dragon's Dogma 2 to upgrade via the add-on DLC.

In Forsaken Dominion, the story content added in Dark Arisen, players can bring Relics gathered through combat and exploration back to their hub settlement to have them appraised, unlocking new armaments, skills, and powers.
Narrating the adventure through the new region, Norgan, in the Gameplay Cycle Overview Video is the new character, Jiera.
Handling the appraisal of Relics in the settlement, her narrative brings the rigors and thrills of the journey to life.
Feeding meat to the wolf, Freki, in the settlement might even lead you directly to hidden Relics.
