Epic Games has announced the latest update v31.40 for the popular Fortnite battle royale game. This update brings the annual Halloween event " Fortnightmare 2024 " to the battle royale island. This year's Fortnightmare will feature limited-time quests, new costumes, and special rewards. This year's Fortnightmare will be even more engaging with characters from Disney's Villains.
"Fortnightmare 2024" is coming to Battle Royale Island!
Fortnightmare 2024 will be held from Tuesday, October 15, 2024 until the end of Chapter 5 Season 4. During this period, players will be able to take on a variety of limited-time quests and earn special rewards. Some of the quests feature unique items, such as the exploding "Boom Billy" and a ride-on chainsaw. The "Woodstake Shotgun," the "Pumpkin Launcher," and the "Witch Bloom," weapons of the Undead released from the Underworld, will also return.
In addition, the " Horde Rush " mode is back, allowing players to team up and fight to survive the hordes of cube monsters. This year's Horde Rush will feature a mod bench, and the goal is to score combos, collect score multipliers, and defeat the last boss. The horde rush has its own set of quests, which you can complete to earn XP and complete the Fort Nightmare XP Quest.
A number of sinister items are available in the store. In addition to the "Billy" costume, the following characters are available

- Edward Scissorhands
- Sea Venom and Agony
- Leatherface
- Rave Melo

As part of Fortnightmare 2024, the Symbiote Cup, a battle royale-style duo tournament, will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 (US time). The tournament will award the top team in each region with the costumes "Sea Venom" and "Agony" before they hit the stores. The Symbiote Cup is a great opportunity for players to test their skills and earn special rewards.
