The game is being developed by MachineGames, the developer of the "Wolfenstein" series, and executive produced by Hall of Fame award-winning game designer Todd Howard, with the goal of achieving cinematic perfection.
The film is set between the first "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and the third "The Last Crusade," as legend has it that evil forces are scouring the globe in search of the secret of an ancient power that leads to the "Great Circle. The story follows the legendary archaeologist "Indiana Jones" as he confronts evil forces searching the world for the secret of an ancient power that leads to the "Great Circle".

The game is a first-person action-adventure game that mixes combat, stealth, puzzle solving, gunfights, and of course, the whip. The whip, familiar from the original, can be used not only for attacks, but also for movement, diversion and elimination of enemies, allowing players to play as Indiana Jones.
