Mojang Studios has announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of " Minecraft " will be released on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
It will support " Vibrant Visuals," which significantly enhances the game's visual presentation, and an upgrade path will be available for Switch players.

"Minecraft" for Nintendo Switch 2 is set to launch on Tuesday, October 27, 2026!
The Switch 2 version will support " Vibrant Visuals," a feature previously unavailable on the Switch version.
Graphics will be significantly enhanced, with improved rendering of light and shadows.
It’s reported that all compatible content on the Minecraft Marketplace will be playable with these enhancements applied.
Additionally, the " Super Mario Mash-Up " pack—exclusive to Nintendo hardware—has been updated to take full advantage of the visual beauty of "Vibrant Visuals."
It includes Mario-themed worlds, music, and skins.
An upgrade path for Switch players is also available
An upgrade path to the Switch 2 version will be available for players who already own the Switch version of "Minecraft."
