Nintendo has announced on their official website that their first official store to be opened in Japan. Nintendo TOKYO is scheduled to open on November 22nd, 2019 in Shibuya's newly reconstructed PARCO.
Limited Edition Marchandise and Free-Play Demos
On top of Nintendo goods available at other stores, Nintendo TOKYO will also be selling limited edition merchandise that will only be available for purchase at this Nintendo TOKYO store.
T-shirts, tote-bags, towels, keychains, you name it. More can be found out at the Nintendo TOKYO official website.
There are also plans for a demo corner where customers can play popular Nintendo Switch titles.
According to the website, the recently released Ring Fit Adventure will be available for play, and as a work out adventure title, it's undoubtedly one of those games that needs to be experienced to be appreciated. Along with Ring Fit Adventure, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Super Mario Odyssey will also be available to play.
Pre-Open Event
Two days before the official store opening, Nintendo TOKYO will hold a pre-open event on November 20th and 21st, for those who apply through the Nintendo TOKYO's official website's entry page.
To apply, one must have a Nintendo account, and 250 people for each day (500 people in total) will be invited to the event. Entry ends on November 4th at 11:59pm, so make sure to get those entries in early.
There are also some points to be careful of: even if you're living in Japan, if you're region is set to anywhere outside of Japan, your entry will become instantly null and void, so make sure your region is set to Japan before applying!
