When you purchase a ticket, you can choose either the "Gold" or "Silver" version, and depending on the version you choose, the Pokémon that are attracted to "Okou" and the Pokémon that you are more likely to encounter different-colored Pokémon are different.
In addition, to complete the "Collection Challenge," in which you must catch Pokémon that match a specific theme, you must exchange Pokémon with a friend who has chosen a different version of Pokémon.
Once you have chosen a version, you cannot change it, so think carefully before making your decision!
