New Map "Glitch" Arrives in Team Deathmatch!

Simultaneously with the start of the new Act, the new map "Glitch" arrived in VALORANT's Team Deathmatch mode.
"Glitch" has two visual themes, and VALORANT agents will fight in a virtual Maxpoint arena that has suffered a "glitch."
One side of the map is designed as a "ruined Sunset," and the other is a "winter Haven."
Play Team Deathmatch and get into the fight on the new battlefield right away!

Developer's comments on the new Team Deathmatch map "Glitch"

Q. What were your goals for the map "Glitch"?

A. One of our goals when designing "Glitch" was to place a tower that could provide an advantage on one side of the map.
We envisioned this tower becoming a key point that both teams would fight over.
The opposite side of the map has routes that are not visible from this tower, allowing players to attack the tower from various angles.
We hope that players will enjoy small-scale battles to secure the tower.
In this map design, we incorporated some elements of traditional 3-lane maps with symmetrical layouts.
We also took care to widen the spawn areas to prevent spawn camping.
From an art and creative perspective, our goal was to create a fun and playful map.
It's a unique map where unexpected things happen in the story of Maxbot's revenge.
This was also the first map where we attempted to use two themes simultaneously.
We experimented with pushing the limits of contrasting map themes and tried to see if we could successfully combine that with a symmetrical map design.

Q. What inspired you when designing "Glitch," and what is the important concept you wanted to convey with this map?

A. From a gameplay perspective, we drew some inspiration from classic deathmatch maps in long-running arena shooters.
We wanted to create intense, small-scale battles between teams over securing the tower.
We also made the center of the map more open so that players could enjoy gunfights there as well.
When building the visuals, we were actually inspired by Fracture.
Specifically, the idea of visually splitting the map in half.
However, we went a step further and leveraged other map themes to enhance the visual creativity.
One side of the map has a "ruined" Sunset theme (including the distinctive signs and buildings), and the other side has a "winter" Haven theme (where the architecture is beautifully depicted with details).
We also took advantage of the fact that this is a Maxbot virtual arena and fused two different worlds using a skybox.
By using these elements, we were able to add cool details and even more fun easter eggs!
