Wellplayed Rizest Inc. changed its trade name to GLOE Inc. (pronounced: Glow) on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
Born from the merger of Wellplayed and Rizest in February 2021, Wellplayed Rizest has provided various services related to games and esports.
As a general trading company for esports, they have had a profound impact on the industry and even achieved a listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market in November 2022.
In May 2023, GLOE Inc. established a new vision, We are the GAMING LIFESTYLE Company., and a mission, Making people and society HAPPY through games., expanding its business beyond esports into game-related peripheral areas.
The background of the trade name change lies in the company's aim to strive for further growth as a sustainable enterprise by going beyond the entertainment sector as a GAMING LIFESTYLE Company and integrating games into social activities and service development.
The new trade name GLOE carries the familiar sound of the English word grow, and its initials represent meanings as follows:

- L: Lifestyle

- E: Esports, Enjoy, Entertainment
The corporate logo was also refreshed along with the trade name change.
With the G common to both GAME and GAMING LIFESTYLE as the logo frame, it expresses possibilities and innovation born from games.
Additionally, the circular design placed inside the G represents an arcade controller's stick, symbolizing flexibility and diversity through a stick with a 360-degree range of motion.
Furthermore, due to this trade name change, the official website URL and official X account name (@gloe_jp) have been changed, but there are no changes to the business operations.
