Wired, wireless, or fully wireless. There are various types of audio equipment for playing games and listening to music, including headphones, headsets, and earphones, and you probably choose the one you like to use according to your preference and purpose.
A decade ago, the wired type was the strongest due to latency and sound quality, but nowadays, with the evolution of technology, few people are concerned about latency and sound quality with wireless connections.
The drawbacks of wireless devices, such as battery life and increased weight due to the battery, are no longer a concern at all, and more and more people are using wireless audio as their main source of entertainment.
Manufacturers are releasing high-performance models of wireless headsets and earphones one after another, and models that support both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth connectivity are increasing, so that a single device can be used for almost all devices around you.
Since this model is in high demand, there is no reason why ASUS' gaming brand "ROG," which produces a wide variety of high-performance gaming devices, should not release it!
ROG 's first gaming headset with dual-mode wireless connectivity, the " ROG Delta S Wireless " is here!
Game consoles, PCs, and smartphones all in one headset!
The ROG Delta S Wireless is the first wireless model in ROG's popular Delta S gaming headset series and is the first ROG wireless gaming headset to support dual-mode wireless connectivity.
It supports both 2.4GHz connectivity using a USB Type-C dongle and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, allowing wireless connection to a variety of devices including game consoles, PCs, smartphones, and more.
Some game consoles do not support Bluetooth connectivity, so a single "ROG Delta S Wireless" with low latency 2.4GHz connectivity should be sufficient.
The 2.4GHz connection can be used within a range of up to 25 meters, and the Bluetooth connection has low latency, so it is likely that you will never lose connection in a room, if not the entire house.
On the sound side, ASUS' unique 50mm ASUS Essence driver is used in a highly airtight chamber.
This allows for a deeper, more textured, and more detailed sound reproduction, providing a more immersive experience.
The ear cups are D-shaped with the familiar 12° tilt of the "Delta S" series. The design provides comfort and direct sound delivery to the ear canal.
The ROG Hyper-Grounding technology, unique to ASUS, prevents electromagnetic interference by using a multi-layered printed circuit board and a special layout, resulting in a clear, noise-free sound.
The ROG Delta S Wireless features an AI Beam Forming microphone with AI noise cancellation, certified by Discord and TeamSpeak.
The microphone is built into the earcups instead of a boom microphone that extends to the mouth, which is common in headsets, avoiding the problems associated with boom microphones, such as "skipping" and "misalignment.
By creating an acoustic zone around the mouth, the microphone blocks out surrounding noise and delivers clear audio.
AI Noise Cancellation reduces up to 95% of the more than 500 million ambient noises that occur when playing games, such as the sound of a keyboard being typed or a mouse clicking.
It is very helpful to be free of noise when voice chatting during games or distributing games, and it may also be useful for remote conferencing.
Even wireless overhead headphones have a large battery capacity, and the "ROG Delta S Wireless" boasts up to 25 hours of runtime.
It is unlikely that you will be playing games for more than 25 hours in a row, so there is no need to worry about the battery running out of power while playing.
If you forget to recharge the battery, you can rest assured that it supports quick recharging, allowing for up to 3 hours of use after only 15 minutes of charging.
While the weight of a wireless headset with a long battery life can be a concern, the ROG Delta S Wireless is lightweight at only 318g. This is a gaming headset that you will be wearing for a long time, so it's no wonder it's so lightweight.
In addition to the lightweight design, the D-shaped ear cups, a feature of the "Delta S" series, reduce unnecessary contact area by up to 20%, providing a comfortable feel and fit.
The "ROG Delta S Wireless" comes with earpads in two different materials.
ROG Hybrid ear c ushions are made of breathable mesh fabric.
They fit well but do not get stuffy, so they are comfortable even after long periods of use.
ROG protein leather ear c ushions are made of 100% protein leather and are soft.
They offer high sound insulation for a comfortable fit and a passive noise-canceling-like effect.
It is nice to be able to choose the texture that best suits your preference and usage situation.
The control area is concentrated on the left ear cup.
A dial and switch that combines volume control and microphone on/off, and a switch to switch between wireless connections.
Then there is a control button that allows you to play, stop, and send to the previous or next track.
What is very pleasing is that all of them are physical switches.
Touch control is good, but it is easy to make a mistake while playing a game, so simple physical switches are great.
The USB Type-C dongle used for 2.4GHz connection can be stored in the right ear cup.
Unlike full wireless earbuds, the overhead type earbuds are usually not carried around in a case, so having a place to store it is quite convenient.
The Armory Crate software allows you to configure the ROG Delta S Wireless.
You can configure AI noise cancellation, audio profiles, and other settings in great detail, so it's no exaggeration to say that the ROG Delta S Wireless is your own personal device once you've completed the configuration.
