CES 2024 is a technology trade show that is being held in Las M. Bizonas, USA from Tuesday, January 9 to Friday, January 12, 2024 (local time). MSI announced a new portable gaming PC (handheld), the Claw A1M.
MSI's first portable gaming PC "Claw A1M
Portable gaming PCs are being developed by Valve, ASUS, Lenovo, and many other companies. Each manufacturer is trying to differentiate their products based on size, weight, and expandability, and MSI is finally joining the competition. "Claw A1M" has been unveiled!
It's got Intel in it!
Until now, most portable gaming PCs have been based on AMD CPUs, including the Ryzen Z1. However, with the introduction of "Core Ultra" announced in December 2023, there are signs that this trend is about to change.
The Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 155H in the Claw A1M has a much higher GPU performance, which will ensure a smooth gameplay experience even for AAA titles. The NPU also delivers ultra-fast AI processing speed. Support for Intel XeSS, 6 P-cores, 8 E-cores, and 2 low-power E-cores are key to running the latest high-load games in the palm of your hand.
Ergonomic controller shape
Replicates the shape of the controller we have all been familiar with in our hands for a long time! The grip of the Claw A1M was designed to fit hands of all sizes based on thousands of sample data. The balance between grip and weight, the curvature of the grip to fit the palm of the hand, the position of the fingers to grip, the comfort of the trigger, and many other details have been meticulously crafted.
Expectations for airflow and battery efficiency
Portable gaming PCs, which are designed to save space and achieve high performance to the limit, inevitably generate heat during game play. The Claw A1M uses an innovative airflow design to cool each chip. The product image shows that the back of the product has been carefully designed to remove the meat from the back.
Together with a 53 Whr battery capacity that lasts 50% longer than the market average, we expect it to support long hours of gameplay!
The Claw A1M also features a 7-inch display with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, sophisticated joysticks and triggers, and Thunderbolt 4 compatibility. However, a demo unit was shown at CES 2024, so it may not be long until we hear more. For more information on the product, please visit the "Claw A1M" product page!
