Shichijo Ganshundo, a long-established Kyoto confectioner founded in 1865, is now offering Kyoto sweets featuring autumn Pokémon! After the online pre-sale on Shichijo Ganshundo's official website from October 31, 2023 (Tue), the sweets will be available in stores from November 4, 2023 (Sat) at the Kyoto Main Store and Kitasenju Marui Store. Pokemon-inspired Kyoto sweets are now available!
Shichijo Ganshundo, founded in 1865, will release Kyoto-style confections with Pokemon as the theme! The first "Pokemon Kyo-gashi" will feature Pokemon associated with autumn events in the form of Kami-nagashi, Fuyaki, and Danish sweets. More "Pokemon Kyo-gashi" sweets representing the four seasons are scheduled to be released in the future, so keep your eyes peeled for more information!

Pokemon Kamikyogashi Autumn (4 pieces)
Pikachu, Pippi, Urimu, and Ho-oh in josegashi! Jo-sei-gashi is a confectionery using traditional Japanese confectionery techniques. At Shichijo Ganshundo, artisans make these sweets by hand using high-quality ingredients and water from the Higashiyama mountains in Kyoto.

Pokemon fuyaki Autumn (3 pieces)
Pikachu (male/female), Kyukon, and Houou and scenes and events of Kyoto in autumn are reproduced in this fuyaki. A fuyaki sembe is a sweet rice cracker carefully baked from glutinous rice and characterized by its gentle texture. The pictures are hand-drawn by artisans.

Pokemon Dried Candy Autumn
Dried confections of Pikachu playing in the autumn field. Dried confections are a general term for sweets with low moisture content, and Pikachu's original confectionery wooden pattern is used.

Over-the-counter sales
All types of Pokémon Kyoto sweets (Pokémon Kamigami Autumn, Pokémon Fuyaki Autumn, and Pokémon Dried Sweets Autumn) will be sold at the Kyoto Main Store and Kitasenju Marui Store of Shichijo Ganshundo. Due to the limited number of sweets made per day, sales will be conducted by lottery on November 4 (Sat) and November 28 (Tue), 2023 (lottery tickets will be drawn by those who receive them).

Online pre-sale
Online pre-sale of "Pokemon fuyaki Autumn" and "Pokemon dried confectionery Autumn" will start at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, on a first-come, first-served basis with limited quantities. If you can't make it to the store, be sure to check them out.
