Sayff and JOE UMEROGAN face off!
Sayff (@thesayff ), a winner from Winners, and JOE UMEROGAN (@umerogan ), a winner from Losers, faced off in the Grand Final. Sayff chose Ken and JOE UMEROGAN chose Rook.
In the first round, both players were waiting to see how the other would do, and connected with Hadoken and Sandblast moves. It was 1-1 going into the final round, but Sayff's Ken started the match with a jaw-breaking two-punch combo followed by a tornado whirlwind leg combo, which did some damage. He gradually reduced Luke's strength with a grappling knee kick, and although his strength was reduced in the middle of the match, he finally defeated Luke with a Shinryu-ryu-teppo to win the first match.
In the second round, he began the match by attacking with a combo of two jaw-punching kicks followed by a tornado whirlwind leg combo and throws. In the first round, Sayff won with more than 90% of his energy gauge remaining, but in the second round, JOE UMEROGAN calmly assessed the timing of his attacks and went one-on-one.
In the final round, Sayff connected with a combo into a Shinryu Retsukyaku to greatly deplete Luke's strength and seized the momentum, pushing through for his second win.
The score was 2-0, and Sayff only needed one more win to take the championship. In the first round, JOE UMEROGAN's rooks were taking a lot of energy out of him, but he was able to turn the tables and take the first round.
In the second round, JOE UMEROGAN connected with a combo and unleashed a Shinryu Retsukai to reduce Luke's health to about 50% in the first five seconds of the match, but JOE UMEROGAN's Dotou combo quickly reduced his health and the match was 1-1. In the final round, both players were unable to hold off each other, but Sayff pushed through to win the match. Sayff won the match 3-0!
Sayff won the "CAPCOM Pro Tour 2023" U.S. & Canada-Central West Tournament and qualified for the "CAPCOM CUP X".
