The Grand Finals utilized a Best-of-3 (BO3) format featuring two pre-registered decks of different classes, where the first player to win two matches advanced.
Players competed under the intense pressure of a single-elimination bracket where a single loss meant immediate elimination.
Amidst the competition, Akisu defeated Nyansan in the first round and BCAD in the semifinals, both with a 2-1 scoreline.
In the grand final, he overcame Minchi with another 2-1 victory to seize the championship.
Following his victory, he shared his joy in a post on X.

As champion, Akisu earned the 5 million yen grand prize (approx. 31,400 USD).
Furthermore, because RAGE Shadowverse Japan Championship 2026 Season 2 also served as a qualifier for the official world championship, Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2026, Akisu secured his qualification slot.

Let's look forward to more heated matches in future tournaments!
Akisu's Post-Victory Interview Released!
— Why did you decide to participate in this tournament, the first Kansai-held RAGE event for the Shadowverse franchise in eight years?
Akisu: I haven't been very keen on traveling long distances for tournaments in the past, but since I live in northern Osaka, I thought, "If I don't enter now, I might never compete in an offline tournament."
Winning my first offline tournament and my first Grand Finals came as a huge surprise even to myself.
— How did you spend the month leading up to the Grand Finals?
Akisu: People I met at the qualifiers gave me warm words of encouragement even after being eliminated themselves, and wanting to live up to their expectations motivated me to practice harder than ever.
At one point I pushed myself too hard and actually considered withdrawing from the Grand Finals, but in the end, I reset my mindset to "play as I always do, and simply enjoy this stage and Shadowverse."
I think being able to enjoy the game all the way through to the end today led directly to this victory.
— How did you choose the decks you used in this tournament?
Akisu: Rather than building unique rogue decks from scratch, I'm the type of player who references matchup data from many players and selects the decks with the highest usage rates at that moment.
I trusted the collective intelligence of the playerbase over my own individual meta predictions, choosing Runecraft and Portalcraft this time.
Rather than spending time deckbuilding, I prioritize mastering strong decks to elevate my gameplay proficiency.
As a result, I think I was able to bring a combination that sat in a very favorable position in the meta.
— Please share your thoughts heading into the Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2026.
Akisu: While there's a certain pressure representing the Kansai RAGE qualifiers, I want to keep the same mindset and play my usual game at the world championship.
I will do my best while cherishing the joy of playing the game above all else.
— Who is the first person you want to tell about winning RAGE?
Akisu: My parents.
When I told them I made the Grand Finals, the first thing they said wasn't "Congratulations," but "What about your taxes?" (laughs).
I haven't told them about winning yet, so when I get home, I'll share the news and consult them about tax planning.
