[TGS2025] Gemdrops Booth Report! More News on "Holo's Hanafuda" Coming at hololive SUPER EXPO 2025 in March

"Taipei Game Show 2025" was held in Taipei, Taiwan.
For those living in Japan, "Tokyo Game Show" is probably the most familiar game show, but this one also showed immense excitement, not to be outdone.
This time, we bring you a look at the booth of "Gemdrops," a game studio from Japan that participated!

Gaining Attention with "PICO PARK 2" and "hololive Holo's Hanafuda"

At the Gemdrops booth, a playable demo of the 2D action puzzle game "PICO PARK 2" was set up.

The appeal of this game is its cooperative play, supporting up to 8 players on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Windows, and Steam.
While it supports online multiplayer (with cross-play), local play is still a blast for lively sessions.

A photo spot for the new card game "hololive Holo's Hanafuda" was also set up at the booth!

"hololive Holo's Hanafuda" is a Hanafuda game that uses original cards featuring members of the female VTuber group "hololive"!
In addition to traditional rules like Koi-Koi, Oicho-Kabu, and Hana-awase, it features an original rule called "Holo-awase."
You can enjoy intense battles by forming "Holo-yaku" with hololive members on the cards and utilizing each talent's skill.

As of this writing, only the Steam version has been announced, but depending on the reception, there might be expectations for console, mobile versions, or even real Hanafuda card sets.

A special stage featuring Yuichiro Kitao, the representative director and studio director of Gemdrops Inc., was also held at the Justdan booth's special stage!
He introduced "PICO PARK 2" and "hololive Holo's Hanafuda," which are already supported or planned to be supported in Traditional Chinese.

In addition to the traditional "Koi-Koi" and "Hana-awase," a unique rule called "Holo-awase" is included.
The card designs also reflect the personalities and famous scenes of the hololive members.

An "Adventure" mode with an original story is also available.

There's even an "Bento Box" mode, far removed from Hanafuda!?
In this mode, you can use points accumulated in the game to create your "Oshi-Ben" (favorite bento), which is sure to be a hit when shared on social media!
