The " Tokyo Game Show 2026 (TGS2026)," a gaming festival, was held over four days from Thursday, September 17, 2026, to Sunday, September 20, 2026.
In this report, we’ll take a look at the " Aniplex " booth!
A Report on the “Aniplex” Booth! Greeting with the Free-Spirited Neko Arku
A Sneak Peek at the Aniplex Booth!
At the Aniplex booth, visitors could try out new games, participate in cosplay photo sessions, and enjoy meet-and-greets with characters.
Luckily for me, I arrived at the booth right in the middle of the meet-and-greet with Neko Arku!
However, Neko Arku is a character known for his free-spirited nature—so much so that the official line is, “Even if you want to do something about it, there’s nothing you can do.”
It wouldn’t be surprising if he suddenly started running off, but is it really okay to invite this guy(?) to the meet-and-greet…?

It turns out those worries were unfounded, as Neko Arku charmed everyone with his adorable antics.
A crowd gathered, eager not to miss a photo opportunity.
Believe it or not, he noticed my camera and even posed for me.
Thank you, Neko Arku!
I let my guard down, and Neko Arku was right up close...!
As expected, Neko Arku was running wild even at TGS.
I’m just glad it didn’t shoot any laser beams out of its eyes...
Speaking of Neko-Alku, many of you probably think of “MELTY BLOOD,” also known as Melbra.
The latest entry in the series, “MELTY BLOOD: TWI-LUMINA,” was also available for a hands-on demo ahead of its release on Thursday, April 22, 2027.
The line for the demo moved very quickly, and it was impressive to see what appeared to be existing Melty Blood players going through the demo multiple times.
Since taking screenshots of the gameplay was prohibited, I hope you can at least get a sense of the atmosphere from these photos.
Melty Blood wasn’t the only game available for a hands-on demo.
" Fate/EXTRA Record " was also available for a hands-on demo ahead of its release on Thursday, January 28, 2027.

The demo area featured a lineup of the main characters lining the interior walls.
Since taking photos of the game screen was not allowed here either, I hope you can at least get a sense of the atmosphere.
A cosplay photo session was also held right next to the demo area.
Yamo Hachiko ( @yamo8cos ) was dressed as Saber.
And Kichipiyo ( @kc_2_cos ) was dressed as Caster.
It was so crowded that it was impossible to take a photo from the front.
That wraps up our coverage of the Aniplex booth!
