As part of this massively popular annual event that ratchets up the fear factor every year, collaborative content with Capcom's Resident Evil is also rolling out!
With that in mind, we got an advance hands-on experience!

A Licker as a Popcorn Bucket!
The all-new Licker Popcorn Bucket has also made its debut sales launch!
USJ transformed everyone's nightmare-fuel monster, the Licker, into a charmingly stylized, chibi popcorn bucket.
When you look closely it's unmistakably a Licker, yet somehow strangely adorable.
With its quadrupedal stance, it looks ready to stalk you anywhere.
As a popcorn bucket, this is how it functions.
The flavor is miso... as in brain (“noumiso” in Japanese)... wait, seriously!?
Slung over your shoulder, the exposed brain opens up for easy snacking, but setting it on the ground creates a truly bizarre silhouette.
Lickers have unnaturally developed muscles, so it seems sturdy enough.
While soft materials form the sharp teeth and claws, the protruding, elongated tongue uses an even softer, squishy material that wobbles around.
It is delightfully gross.
The muscular build unique to Lickers is carried through all the way to its rear.
Adopt this strikingly impactful Licker and guide it around the park!
Resident Evil Requiem The Dive is Incredibly Terrifying
We also had the opportunity to experience an advance preview of the new attraction, Resident Evil Requiem The Dive, running from Friday, September 11 through Sunday, December 27, 2026.
Set within the Wrenwood Hotel and Sanatorium.
In this walk-through attraction navigated entirely on foot, zombies and creatures assault visitors from every conceivable direction, true to the Resident Evil universe.
From the front, from behind, from the ceiling, and even from right beneath your feet!?
The Licker, which seemed so cute as a popcorn bucket moments earlier, appears with terrifying fidelity in an unrelenting horror gauntlet.
While we won't spoil the specifics, the sheer scale of the production was jaw-dropping.
However, fear not—we have the utterly dependable Leon by our side.
He's far too cool.
'Resident Evil Requiem' The Dive runs from Friday, September 11 to Sunday, December 27, 2026.
