Coca‑Cola Japan has entered into a partnership with Niantic, Inc. and The Pokémon Company, the providers of the location-based smartphone game app, Pokémon GO.
Approximately 30,000 Coca‑Cola vending machines across Japan will gradually appear in the Pokémon GO app as PokéStops! Pick up items in the game and stay hydrated to beat the heat. Coca‑Cola also scheduled some vending machines to appear as Gyms in the future.
A campaign scheduled for September 2026 will reward users who purchase products using Coke ON with an exclusive Pokémon GO stamp. This applies to approximately 150,000 vending machines nationwide shown on the vending machine map within Coke ON, the official smartphone app from Coca‑Cola (Coke ON).
Both Coke ON and Pokémon GO celebrate their 10th anniversary this year, making this a fitting collaboration! For the latest information, please check the official Coke ON X account (@CokeON) or the official Pokémon GO Japan X account (@PokemonGOAppJP).
