The Fukuoka City Subway has been conducting a touch payment experiment since May 2022, and Visa touch payment was available at some stations. Fukuoka City Subway to Start Offering Touch Payment Service in March 2023!
JCB has announced that it will start handling touch-settlement services for the Fukuoka City Subway on March 27, 2023 (Monday ). March 27, 2023 (Monday) is the date of the opening of the Nanakuma Line extension, and many people must have been waiting for this moment. Many people must have been waiting for this day. It will be great to see the line, which normally extends only to Tenjin-Minami Station, open to Hakata Station. In anticipation of the opening of the Nanakuma Line extension and the full-fledged recovery of inbound travel, the Fukuoka City Subway will introduce touch-sensitive payment. All 36 stations are covered by the touch-settlement service!
International card brands will be available at all 36 stations on the " Airport Line ", " Hakozaki Line ", and " Nanakuma Line ". Please note that a card with touch-settlement function and asmartphone registered with the card are required to use the service.
