Announced ban on nintendo titles on the video distribution platform Mildom

DouYu Japan, a Japanese subsidiary of DouYu Inc., which is owned by Tencent, a major Chinese IT company that develops messenger applications such as WeChat, has announced that it will ban the distribution of live videos using Nintendo's copyrighted games on " Mildom" & quot;a live video distribution platform operated by DouYu Japan. DouYu Japan, a Japanese subsidiary of DouYu, Inc.

DouYu Japan Inc. is a joint venture between China (DouYu) and Japan (Mitsui & Co., Ltd.). DouYu is a popular game distribution platform in China, and is also known as the Chinese version of Twitch.



Archived videos will also be deleted sequentially after August 20.

The announcement of the distribution ban is due to the fact that Mildom has been in discussions with Nintendo regarding the conclusion of a license agreement in order to license the distribution and monetization of Nintendo's game works, but has not been able to conclude a license agreement.
Since Mildom has agreed to stop handling Nintendo's game works after August 20, 2020 (Thursday ), distribution using Nintendo's game works on Mildom will be prohibited, and archived videos will also be deleted after August 20, 2020 (Thursday).
