The turbulent month of April will soon be over, and the long-awaited spring holiday, Golden Week, will arrive! The news says, "This year, the maximum number of holidays will be 10 in a row," but not everyone can take off the three weekdays in between! But not everyone can take off the three weekdays in between! Many people may be making plans to go out for fun, return home, or travel, but on the other hand, it is crowded everywhere you go, and even if you want to go away, you may find it difficult to get bullet train or airplane tickets. So, some of you may be relaxing at home to relieve the fatigue of April, and the best toy for such people is a game! With plenty of time to play games, you can concentrate on the titles you are currently playing, or it is a good time to start a new title that you have never played before. One of the best opportunities to learn about new titles that you may not have known about recently is the " Famicom National Poll," one of the NES 40th Anniversary projects! The results of the 40th "What was the best story? The results of the 40th "What was the best story?

The results of the 40th "NES People's Choice Vote" for "Best Story" have been announced. The results of the "NES National Poll" have been announced, and the top 20 are now available on the NES 40th Anniversary Campaign website! The titles that ranked in the top 20 were RPGs, simulations, and adventures, all of which have a strong storyline. I'm sure everyone had a title with a memorable story, but the game that came in first place was " Dragon Quest III: And to the Legend..." with 22% of the vote! I also voted for it! I won't go into details, but I was really shaken by what happened in the latter half of the story. Second place went to " Dragon Quest IV: The Leaders," also from the "Dragon Quest" series, with 13.3% of the vote! The "Dragon Quest" series finished first and second! Dragon Quest IV: The Guide to the Galaxy" is a new entry in the series, and it too has a really good story, but I won't go into details because it would spoil the story! I personally love RPGs and simulations, so many of the titles in the top 20 I've played before, and I can still easily remember the stories. Many of the titles have long play times, but with Golden Week coming up, you should be able to play them well! If there is one that you have been curious about but haven't gotten around to playing yet, this is the perfect time to take advantage of it! Maybe you'll be a little more mature after the holidays.

The 40th edition is over, which means the 41st edition has begun. Voting for the 41st "NES Referendum" will begin on April 25, 2024 (Thursday)! The theme of this year's poll is "What was the best special move? The theme of this year's poll is "What was the best special move? Continuing from last year's "Good" series, this time it's " Special Mov es"! All the boys love this one! Special moves" appear in many titles as the decisive move, but in some game titles, the "special move" itself does not appear at all. It may seem like this would narrow down the list, but the interpretation of "special moves" varies depending on the title and game setting, so it seems like it would be quite a headache this time around as well. Please cast your vote for your favorite "special move," or for a title that features a "special move" that you thought you could pull off back in the day! You can vote again this year from the "NES National Vote" page on the campaign website after logging in to your Nintendo account. If you forget the title of the game, don't worry, you can enter part of the title and a list of candidates will appear. The voting period for the 41st "NES Referendum" is until May 1, 2024 (Wed.) at 11:59 p.m., and the results will be announced on May 2, 2024 (Thu. )! I voted for "The 2nd Super Robot War," which features many "special moves" from many works! This title caused kids who are not of the Getter Robot generation to think that the Getter Beam comes from the hand!
