NES Nintendo Classics and Game Boy Nintendo Classics Get Four New Titles!
Four titles have been added and have been available for download since Wednesday, November 26, 2025: "Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos" and "Battletoads" for the NES Nintendo Classics library, and "Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters" and "BIONIC COMMANDO" for the Game Boy Nintendo Classics library.
Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos
An action game for the NES released in 1990. The story is set one year after the previous title, "Ninja Gaiden," where Ashtar, who was manipulating the Jaquio, makes his move. New actions, such as using walls, and the addition of the Art of the Doppelgänger enhanced the freedom of action.
Battletoads
An action game for the NES released in 1991. The objective is to rescue the kidnapped Princess Angelica and their comrade Pimple by navigating through various traps and defeating monsters. Players tackle 12 stages in total, including side-scrolling and high-speed action segments, each requiring appropriate techniques.
Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters
An action game released for Game Boy in North America in 1991 (not released in Japan). Pit, an angel who received a new mission from the goddess Palutena, ventures through three worlds in search of the "Three Sacred Treasures." Players navigate the vast world, which includes the vertically ascending "Underworld" and "Skyworld," and the horizontally progressing "Overworld."
BIONIC COMMANDO
An action game for the Game Boy released in 1992. Players take on the Imperial Army as the protagonist, Rad Spencer, who wields a gun in one hand and a special wire in the other. They can acquire various weapons, such as the "Wide-Range Rifle" and "Grenade Launcher." The flexible wire is used to climb high places and jump across gaps, and collecting important information in communication rooms is key to advancing through the game.
