Pokémon and DeNA have released a special video of Pokémon Masters, a smartphone app jointly developed by Pokémon and DeNA that was announced during the "Pokémon Business Strategy Presentation 2019" on May 29, and have announced the release date and new information. Players take on the role of the main character and aim to win the "World Pokémon Masters" tournament held on the man-made island of Pasio, where Pokémon Trainers from the past series have gathered, while collecting Pokémon and badges.

In "Pokémon Masters," you not only join Pokémon like in the previous games in the series, but also form teams with Pokémon Trainers.
One Pokémon is tagged to one trainer, and these are called "buddies.
3 vs. 3 team battles
Battles are 3vs3 team battles in real time.
The player must attack at a good tempo by consuming the "move gauge," which increases as time goes by.
There are also powerful moves called "Buddy's Moves" to liven up the battle.
Not only Pokémon, but also trainers can participate in battles with "Trainer Moves.
Trainers can support their Pokémon by healing them and boosting their abilities.

Pokémon Masters" for iOS and Android is scheduled for release in summer 2019.
