The Nintendo Switch 2 game " Poko a Pokémon," which launched simultaneously worldwide on Thursday, March 5, 2026, has surpassed 5 million units sold globally in approximately four months since its release!
This title is the first “Pokémon” slow-life sandbox game, jointly planned and developed by Pokémon, Game Freak, and Koei Tecmo Games.
The protagonist is a Ditto that has transformed into a human, and players work together with Pokémon to develop a town that started out with nothing into a thriving community.
By crafting tools from materials like wood and stone, or gathering berries to share with Pokémon, players can freely build their very own town at their own leisurely pace.
The figure of 5 million units sold worldwide announced this time includes digital downloads and is based on data from Nintendo.
Nintendo serves as the publisher for this title overseas.
The first paid expansion pack, “Bubbling Underwater Town,” is now available
The first installment of the paid downloadable content “Poko a Pokémon Expansion Pass,” titled “Bubbling Underwater Town,” has been available since Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
By using the new move “Dive,” which can be learned through a free update, and diving into the ocean, you’ll be able to reach “Bubble Bubble Underwater Town,” which spreads out beneath the sea.
The Expansion Pass is a set comprising Parts 1 through 3, and the release schedule is as follows.
