Nintendo Co., Ltd. announced the release of the paid DLC Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass for the Nintendo Switch 2 software Pokémon Pokopia during Nintendo Direct 6.9,2026. The company also revealed details regarding the free update scheduled for August 2026 and the purchase bonuses for the paid content.
Paid DLC Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass Is Now Available!

The paid DLC Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, which allows you to enjoy Pokémon Pokopia even longer, became available on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Bubbly Basin, a new town included in the DLC, is scheduled for release in August 2026.
You can currently receive recipes for dynamic Ditto print blocks and wallpaper as a purchase bonus. Furthermore, if you purchase the pass by Tuesday, August 31, 2027, you will receive a serial code for 30 rare Pokémetal ingots to use for crafting and more.
The Expansion Pass DLC will be released in three separate waves from Vol. 1 to Vol. 3. Check the Pokémon Pokopia Official Website for further updates.

In the free update coming in August 2026, Pokémon will learn the new move "Dive." Ditto, who previously could not stay submerged in water for long periods, will now be able to act underwater by using "Dive." This will allow you to enjoy town-building in the new world expanding under the water.
To learn "Dive," you must clear the request "Raise the environment level!" at Bleak Beach and have learned the moves "Surf" and "Splash."
Play in the New Water Town Bubbly Basin by Purchasing the Expansion Pass!
Bubbly Basin, the new town that becomes playable through the paid content, lets you enjoy the water using the move "Dive." Look forward to new encounters with Pokémon living underwater, furniture perfect for the ocean floor, and new outfits for Ditto. The release is scheduled for August 2026.
The extra content is planned to go up to Wave 3.

By purchasing the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, you receive the recipes for dynamic Ditto print blocks and wallpaper, which can be used immediately in Pokémon Pokopia.

Get a Serial Code for 30 rare Pokémetal ingots as an Early Purchase Bonus!
When you purchase the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, you will receive a serial code for 30 rare Pokémetal ingots to use for crafting. Those who redeem download cards or download codes purchased at retail stores or online shops are also eligible.
The redemption deadline is Tuesday, August 31, 2027, and the serial code is valid until Thursday, September 30, 2027.
