The strategic team battle game "Pokémon Unite" by The Pokémon Company has added "Alolan Raichu" on Thursday, April 17, 2025. The update also introduces a new Battle Pass season and Greninja's special Holowear.
Alolan Raichu Joins Pokémon Unite!
The Attacker Pokémon Alolan Raichu, nicknamed "Land Surfer," has arrived in Pokémon Unite since April 17, 2025 (Thursday). Watch the character trailer for gameplay preview.
Alolan Raichu specializes in mobility, executing basic attacks without stopping and dashing with move combos. Its Unite Move "Thunderstorm Aerial" creates a star-shaped electric zone that slows enemies and deals massive damage - perfect for securing victories!
The update also introduces Alolan Raichu's summer-themed "Beach Style" Holowear outfit.
Celebration Event: "Everybody Pika Pika Fes" Returns!
To celebrate Alolan Raichu's arrival, the special "Everybody Pika Pika Fes" runs from April 17 (Thu) to May 7 (Wed), 2025. This unique mode features only Pikachu variants - from wild Pokémon to bosses! Only Pikachu and Alolan Raichu can participate.
The event climax features an epic battle against Gigantamax Pikachu!

From April 18 (Fri) to May 4 (Sun), 2025, shoppers at Pokémon Centers nationwide will receive gift codes for 3-day trials of Alolan Raichu and its "Beach Style" Holowear in Pokémon Unite.
