Savvy Gaming Group has announced that it has acquired ESL, an e-sports league operator, and FACEIT, an e-sports platform, and will merge them to form the ESL FACEIT Group.
What is Savvy Gaming Group?
Savvy Gaming Group (SGG) is an e-sports company whose CEO is Brian Ward, former head of worldwide studios at Activision Blizzard.
The company is 100% owned by the Public Investment Fund, a Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund.
ESLGaming and FACEIT have merged to form ESL FACEIT Group!
Savvy Gaming Group has acquired and merged two companies: ESLGaming, which operates an e-sports league, and FACEIT, which operates a platform for gamers.
The two companies will continue to operate their respective services, which have been in existence for 30 years, and will further strengthen their efforts to discover talent, expand competitions, events and communities, and develop systems and tools.
