SEGA CORPORATION has announced the third feature-length animated film based on Rovio Entertainment (hereinafter Rovio)'s popular mobile game The Angry Birds Movie.
The previous two films, released in 2016 and 2019, surpassed $500 million in worldwide box office revenue.

Third "The Angry Birds Movie" Feature Film Announced
SEGA CORPORATION and group company Rovio have announced the production of "The Angry Birds Movie 3," the third feature-length animated film based on the popular mobile game Angry Birds.
Angry Birds is an incredibly popular mobile game with over 5 billion downloads worldwide as of 2022.
The Angry Birds Movie was released in 2016, and The Angry Birds Movie 2 followed in 2019 (released in Japan in 2020), with the combined worldwide box office revenue of the two films surpassing $500 million.
The feature-length animated film "The Angry Birds Movie 3" will depict the adventures of Red and Chuck, continuing from the previous two works.
Red is voiced by Jason Sudeikis, the star of Ted Lasso, and Chuck is voiced by Josh Gad, known for the role of Olaf in Frozen.

SEGA CORPORATION announced plans to acquire the Finnish game company Rovio in April 2023, and completed the acquisition in August 2023.
In May 2024, they announced the mobile game Sonic Rumble for iOS/Android in collaboration with Rovio. Expectations are high for content development that utilizes the strengths of their IPs by cooperating across all genres in the future.
