Once an exceptional police officer in India, Arjun served on duty alongside his trusted partner, Karna.
However, Karna was murdered by an unknown assailant, and Arjun was framed for the crime, forcing him on the run as a fugitive.
Embarking on a journey to uncover the truth behind the incident, Arjun has vowed never to stop until justice is served.
Arjun's Fighting Style
If summarized in a word, Arjun's fighting style is power and tricky.
While his movement speed is on the slower side, he compensates with overwhelming brute strength.
Furthermore, he can wield both projectiles and trap-based setups.
This versatility sets him apart from traditional powerhouse characters like Zangief and Marisa through his sheer variety of techniques.
Arjun's defining feature is his ability to inflict recoverable damage—gray health that gradually restores over time.
Unlike standard damage, if an opponent takes another hit before this gray health fully regenerates, that recoverable vitality is wiped out instantly.
Many of Arjun's moves can inflict recoverable damage even when blocked.
In fighting games, blocking is traditionally the safest option, but against Arjun, guarding might turn out to be a disadvantageous choice.
If so, he could prove to be a terrifying matchup!
Arjun's Move List
Arm of Justice
Arm of Justice is a move that channels energy generated through yogic breathing into the opponent.
The light and medium versions are safe on block, while the heavy version leaves Arjun at an advantage even when blocked.
The follow-up derived from Arm of Justice maintains frame advantage even on block.
The OD version features faster startup while likewise remaining advantageous on block.
Whether the follow-up motion's resemblance to E. Honda is merely a coincidence remains to be seen.
Cruel Shoulder
Cruel Shoulder is a quintessential powerhouse rushing tackle where Arjun exhales forcefully while taking a massive step forward.
The light and medium versions leave him vulnerable on block, but the heavy version—despite its slower startup—gives him advantage on block.
Trailer footage shows him closing the distance from full screen in an instant, demonstrating its impressive closing power.
Opponents cannot let their guard down even from ranges where Arm of Justice cannot reach.
Breathing Ring
Breathing Ring generates a ring of compressed air in front of Arjun and launches it forward as a projectile.
The angle of the projectile changes depending on the strength of the button pressed.
The OD version provides enhancements such as increased projectile speed and additional hits.
Divine Pillar
Divine Pillar is a trap-style special move where Arjun blows air into the earth to raise a massive pillar of stone from the ground.
Using this technique to restrict the opponent's movement sets the stage for racking up recoverable damage.
The initial breath blown downward appears to possess its own hitbox, making the move useful as a combo component.
Connecting with this part allows the pillar to emerge right as the opponent wakes up, creating devastating okizeme pressure.
Justice Beyond
Impacting an active Divine Pillar with Cruel Shoulder triggers the follow-up move, Justice Beyond.
Arjun grabs the massive boulder and swings it around forcefully, striking opponents regardless of which side they are on.
The gameplay trailer demonstrated combos taking full advantage of this interaction.
While exact damage numbers remain unconfirmed, mastering this technique will likely be key to victory with Arjun.
Ghastly Interrogation
The command grab Ghastly Interrogation features the unique property of dealing only recoverable damage on its own.
However, if it connects while the opponent already carries recoverable damage, it immediately converts that gray health into permanent damage.
Threatening this grab in situations where opponents are forced to block creates immense psychological pressure.
Indomitable Defense / Moral Breakdown
With Indomitable Defense, Arjun transitions into a defensive stance.
He can walk forward or backward while holding the stance, automatically countering incoming strikes to blow the opponent away while dealing only recoverable damage.
Although it can absorb projectiles, doing so will not trigger a counterattack.
Branching out from this stance, Moral Breakdown thrusts both fists forward in a powerful blow.
It inflicts recoverable damage even on block, while dealing normal damage upon hit.
Howling Destruction (Level 1 Super Art)
The Level 1 Super Art, Howling Destruction, sweeps through opponents with a shockwave fueled by Arjun's extraordinary lung capacity.
The move features invulnerability on startup, making it effective not only as a reversal but also against airborne opponents.
His booming voice line accompanying the gust of breath leaves an unmistakable impression.
Instant Oblivion (Level 2 Super Art)
The Level 2 Super Art, Instant Oblivion, works ideally as a combo finisher.
Because it creates room to set up Divine Pillar, players can maintain continuous offensive pressure.
Yaksha's Order (Level 3 Super Art)
The Level 3 Super Art, Yaksha's Order, is a visually arresting ultimate move where an overwhelming swarm of Arjuns surges forward.
Delivering an impact so concussive it disrupts the senses, this ultimate strike stands on an entirely different level from anything before it.
Arjun's Outfit 2
Arjun's Outfit 2 depicts his idealized vision of himself, stepping away from life on the run and his battle-hardened police days.
Having once aspired to be an actor, Arjun likely dreamed of gracing the silver screen in this glamorous attire.
Players can unlock Outfit 2 by playing Avatar Arcade Mode and maxing out Master Arjun's Acquisition Gauge, or by purchasing it with Fighter Coins.
