To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the release of Super Mario Bros. for the Family Computer, the Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary × 12 Nippon Professional Baseball Teams collaboration will be held, sponsoring a total of 12 home games across the 12 NPB teams!

In each game, Mario will perform the ceremonial first pitch, and specially designed bases with a Question Block motif will be used for first, second, and third base. This is reportedly the first attempt in Nippon Professional Baseball history to conduct official games using bases with a unified special design across all 12 teams!

Furthermore, after the games, a base running experience using the Question Block design bases is planned for parents and children selected by lottery from the stadium attendees. Sales of custom items are also planned during the Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary × 12 Nippon Professional Baseball Teams period, so let's wait for further updates on the details.
