The new game Sonic Superstars, which was revealed in June 2023, has been gaining attention as an innovative addition to the Sonic the Hedgehog series. The game will showcase the classic 2D side-scrolling gameplay with newly revamped 3D graphics.
The release date for this highly anticipated game was finally announced during the Opening Night Live event at gamescom 2023.
Scheduled for release on October 17, 2023, Sonic Superstars will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Steam/Epic Games Store).
It introduces co-op gameplay in the story mode for up to 4 players, a notable first for a Sonic series in offline multiplayer. Moreover, the online mode allows for exciting battles with up to 8 players competing simultaneously.
