Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. revealed the gameplay trailer for Tekken 8 Season 3 Wave 3 additional playable character Roger Jr. at EVO France.
Additionally, the publisher revealed the in-game model for Wave 4 additional playable character Yujiro Hanma for the first time.
His gameplay trailer will release on Sunday, January 17, 2027.
Pocket Commander Roger Jr. Gameplay Trailer Released!
Roger Jr., a second-generation kangaroo created for military purposes, lived a happy and peaceful life with his two parents. However, one day, after learning that his father, Roger, had been unfaithful, his mother sent her husband flying with a furious uppercut. Roger came crashing down on a top-secret G Corp research facility, and in the midst of trying to escape, he accidentally caused the facility to explode. Enraged by this disaster, G Corp released a wanted poster of a glove-wearing kangaroo, complete with an adorable sketch and a hefty bounty. Before long, Roger Jr. and his mother were swept up into the manhunt as assailants mistakenly targeted them day after day. Eventually, they learned that Roger was at the heart of this issue. (“We gotta help Papa—right, Mom? It was your uppercut that started all this, after all…”) Swayed by her son’s words, Roger Jr.’s mother reluctantly decided to help her husband—if only to reclaim the peaceful life she shared with her son. The two decided that the fastest way to solve the problem at its root was to take down the head of G Corp. And so, mother and son set out on a new mission.
In Tekken 8, Roger Jr., the child of genetically modified military animal kangaroo Roger, joins the battle nestled inside his mother's pouch.
If you let your guard down around his cuteness, beware of spectacular, ultra-dynamic moves that blast opponents all the way to the moon!

Whirling Punishment
A powerful throw that spins and hurls the opponent away.
Rocket Stance
A stance that expands offensive versatility.
Transitionable even from relatively low-risk moves, it enables convenient low attacks and simplified inputs for select throws such as Whirling Punishment and Uluru Hurricane Bomb.
It serves as the cornerstone of neutral play, allowing players to seize momentum and initiate mix-ups.
Astronauts
Landing specific moves on the opponent launches Roger Jr. high into the air to unleash formidable attacks.
With options that retain frame advantage on block, Heat engagers, and unbreakable throws, players can assess situations instantly to press their advantage.
Although burdened with the limitation of only transitioning from heavy attacks, once entered, it functions as a decisive stance offering potent tools to force high-stakes mix-ups.
Bobbin Dance
This stance transitions from attacks usable only during Heat.
Seize victory by forcing a mix-up between an unblockable high and a mid that combos into aerial juggles on hit.
While the sequence from stance transition into Bobbin Dance and subsequent mix-ups executes fluidly, it comes with the distinct drawback of heavily depleting Heat gauge, making winning psychological mind games paramount.
