Nike has announced a new shoe collaboration between the PlayStation and American basketball star Paul George of the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers.
Design of the "PG 5 PS EP" collaborative shoes
As with previous PlayStation collaborations, the shoes feature the PG and PlayStation logos on the tongue, and the color scheme is inspired by the PS5 design. The color scheme is inspired by the "PS5" design and is used on the insole and outsole.
In addition, the "PlayStation Shapes" (△○×□), the iconic symbol of "PlayStation" is used as well as the "DualSense Wireless Controller".
The "PlayStation Shapes" tag is a "special tag that celebrates our continued partnership with our favorite gaming brand," according to Paul George.
Designers from PlayStation and Nike, including Arito Morisawa, the designer of the PS5, worked closely with Paul George to create the "spirit of gaming" and the PS5. The result is a unique collaboration that combines the "spirit of the game" that Paul George embraces with the look and feel of the PS5.
