Razer, a San Francisco, California-based gaming device manufacturer, has launched its new gaming keypad, the Razer Tartarus Pro.
The keypad detects the depth of key presses in detail
The Razer Tartarus Pro uses "Razer Analog Optical Switches" for its keyswitches.
While a typical keyswitch is a single input when a key is pressed, the "Razer Analog Optical Switch" senses the depth at which the key is pressed, allowing for fine control.
For example, when using the keys to move a character, a shallow press will cause the character to walk, while a deep press will cause the character to run, much like an analog stick.
The sensitivity of the keys can be adjusted in as many as 21 levels
The "Razer Tartarus Pro" allows the user to adjust the actuation point of the keys in 21 levels.
This allows the user to set the level of response in detail, allowing for the best adjustment according to the strength of the keystrokes and hand habits.
In addition, the dual function keys allow users to bind up to two keys.
A Wide Variety of Keys and Profiles
The Razer Tartarus Pro has 24 freely programmable keys, an 8-way digital thumb pad, and a total of 32 programmable keys.
In addition to a macro function with no character limit, eight key profiles can be stored, which can be easily switched using the buttons on the side of the thumb pad.
By switching profiles for each game title or situation, optimal operation can always be performed.
Release Date and Price
The Razer Tartarus Pro is currently available at a Razer Store retail price of 16,988 JPY (US$156.2).
It is available in two colors, Black and Mercury White.
The "Razer Tartarus Pro" is a further evolution of the acclaimed Razer keypad, and is sure to enhance the precision of your game play.
