Tea time is also alcohol! I just compared two bottles of "Holiday Nun Life Set!"

Review

Many people enjoy a leisurely and elegant cup of tea on their days off. It would be wonderful to dress up in Gothic and Lolita fashion and have an elegant tea party in the style of Misako Aoki, president of the Japan Lolita Association, or Mana of MALICE MIZER (currently on hiatus), who used to write a series of articles on GameLab titled "Mana-sama no nostalgia naru Game inferno". It would be nice to dress up in gothic and lolita fashion and have an elegant tea party.

But something is missing... yes, alcohol!

The company that runs the online alcohol store "KURAND " sent us a " Holiday Nun Katsudo Set" to help us out with our holiday drinking! Thank you very much!

What is Nunkatsu?

Holiday Nunkatsu Set
Saiga NAK編集部

Nunkatsu" is an activity to enjoy afternoon tea. It has become more and more common over the past few years, and many people, especially women, are posting about it on Instagram and Tiktok. It is often done in hotels, lounges, and trendy cafes, but since the Corona Disaster, more and more people are doing it at home. So, let's get the soda water, tea, and other drinks ready, and let the "Saiga NAK-style NunKatsuKai" begin!

Review of the "Holiday Nunkatsu Set

The set comes in two colors, lavender and rose. The gradation of the labels is really elegant.

Pour the "Holiday Nunkatsu" into shot glasses and arrange them side by side.

The appearance of the two drinks looks almost the same when they are poured into a shot glass. When I drank them straight, I felt the fruity taste of pear combined with the gentle taste of black tea. The sweetness also makes it easy to drink despite the 17% alcohol content. It would be a good harmony to drink a little at a time and enjoy sweets. It is also good to drink it hot since it is cold this time of year. Both lavender and rose have a nice aroma, but I felt the lavender was stronger. It would be better to drink rose when you want to enjoy a good balance of taste and aroma, and lavender when you want a more healing effect.

"Nun-ikatsu on holidays" on the rocks
Saiga NAK編集部

For a balanced taste of both tea and sake, we recommend drinking it on the rocks. If you drink it in your favorite teacup, you will be more satisfied with the taste. But still, it smells great...

"Nun Katsudo" with black tea on a day off
Saiga NAK編集部

If you want to make it more tea-like and less liquor-like, mix it with black tea so that it doesn't get diluted. The liqueur is sweet, so we recommend using unsweetened tea. Be careful not to use too much black tea, as it will drown out the flavor of the liqueur.

"Nun-ikatsu for holidays" with milk
Saiga NAK編集部

If you want to reduce the lavender flavor a little, we recommend mixing it with milk. By mixing it with milk, it has a milk tea taste. The alcohol taste will also disappear, making it much milder.

A "holiday drink" with carbonated soda

When it comes to liqueur, you may want to try mixing it with carbonated water as well. The sweetness is reduced and the flavor is more refreshing, but the aroma is more intense. It is a perfect partner for sweets, light dishes, and light meals.

Stimulate your holiday tea time.

If you find yourself in a rut or feeling that the tea you usually drink at tea time or with a game is lacking something, it is fun to add a little excitement to your holiday tea time with a tea containing alcohol. Why don't you try a slightly more mature tea time during the holidays?
