New Talents from Hong Kong Gather! HK Comics Support Programme Booth Report
The HK Comics Support Programme (港漫動力) is dedicated to nurturing Hong Kong comic artists, supporting emerging comic enterprises, and fostering the development of original Hong Kong comics.
At the booth, 17 comic artists selected for the 5th HK Comics Support Programme unveiled brand-new original works alongside early sales at the venue!
Throughout the event, live drawing sessions were scheduled at various time slots, attracting lively crowds of attendees who watched the moment of creation up close while enjoying direct interaction with the creators.
Each participating artist hosted a dedicated exhibition corner inside the booth.
In the Final Lap! (極限圈速) corner by Sugarcoat, the world of motorsports unfolded with immersive racing intensity.
The HAESTUS (人造神的試煉) corner by SLoo Production featured venue-exclusive early book sales and special promotional discounts.
Next was the exhibition corner for the original comic, Eightfold Petals Unbound (八重知行), by SLUFFY CREATIVE (失而復得創作室)!
Beyond comic volumes, a wide variety of carefully crafted exclusive items were on sale—ranging from hand-drawn gold foil art cards to unique amulet-themed items that fans couldn't resist.
In the corner for 畫靈 (Drawing Spirit) by Creative Workshop (創意工房), sample reading copies were freely available for visitors to browse.
Next up was the Tidal Void (熱風潮汐) corner by 風船工作室.
In addition to the latest volume, the booth sold the acclaimed 2024 Special Award-winning title, "Morning, Sean" (日安小生).
In the Alice: Anatomized (解剖愛麗絲) corner by Donutcafe (圓環面工作室), two adorable plushies added charming color to the booth!
Additionally, the 2026 Special Award certificate was proudly displayed!
Alongside sample copies of Volume 1, staff provided special bookmarks for visitors to take home freely.
某天、我拾到一隻可以改變世界的兔子！？ (One Day, I Found a Rabbit That Could Change the World!?) by 雙葉幸社.
A variety of charming exclusive items were available, including keychains featuring the in-story rabbit, stickers, and amulet-style holographic cards.
At the booth for 小人形 (Small Doll) by Yokosuka Works (橫須賀製作所), the studio displayed previous signature work, Shuangxi (雙囍), alongside the new release.
The focused, intense expression of the artist drawing with precision left a strong impression!
In the corner for the original comic, Mama the Tortoise (世界的瑪瑪), by Ching Ching Guys Studio (靜靜雞工作室), cosplayers dressed as characters from the story made an appearance.
The booth displayed exclusive merchandise, including illustrated art boards, handmade USB lamp boxes, and clear file folders.
Finally, we stopped by the Disposable Agent Dolly (即棄探員 Dolly) corner by Catnip Comic Studio (貓草漫畫).
A wide variety of postcards lined the booth, catching the attention of many attendees with their vibrant color palettes and meticulous illustrations.
