The online RPG Final Fantasy XIV is based on a giant IP that Japan is proud to show the world.
Its sophisticated worldview and infinite ways to play have charmed over 30 million people worldwide to date, regardless of age or gender.
Because I have also spent time in the world of Eorzea, I understand that the community is extremely deep.
I feel that there are no other games quite like this one, loved so much by its fans.
This time, we bring you a field report on the new store Final Fantasy XIV GOODS SHOP AKIHABARA, which was realized due to such intense demand from fans!
The first permanent goods shop for Final Fantasy XIV (hereafter, FFXIV) has been born in Akihabara.
A Permanent FFXIV Goods Shop Is Born in Akihabara!
Turn right after exiting the Akihabara Station Central Ticket Gate in Tokyo. If you use the Electric Town Ticket Gate, turn left after exiting.
Walking through the Akihabara Station East-West Passage, you will see EXBAR TOKYO plus Akihabara!
EXBAR TOKYO plus Akihabara usually operates as a bar that introduced the self-serve beer tap system “Shall We Tap?”, where you can enjoy as much of your favorite beer as you like.
Due to the nature of the Akihabara area, this facility is crowded with foreign tourists at night and on weekends, but the main attraction this time opened right next to it.
Ta-da!
At the store entrance, Alisaie, Alphinaud, Fat Cats, and others are on a wagon.
From people passing through the Akihabara Station East-West Passage, voices saying things like "I played that" and "It's cute" were heard.
The motif of the store interior is Gridania.
The emblem of the Order of the Twin Adder shines within a calm atmosphere, as if standing quietly inside a forest.

While the same space originally sold official Square Enix goods, it is said that voices constantly requesting that they place more FFXIV goods were being received, perhaps influenced by the nearby Eorzea Cafe.
Such intense requests from the Warriors of Light (an affectionate nickname referring to FFXIV players) have finally borne fruit!
- Starlight Mug: 4,180 yen (tax included)
Among the many FFXIV-related goods lined up, we especially want to focus on four pre-sale products.
The first is the Starlight Mug.
The mug from the Starlight Mug Set furnishing, which appeared in the Starlight Celebration 2024 (equivalent to the Christmas event in FFXIV), has become real-life goods.
The actual capacity is 350ml and it is microwave safe!
- Starlight Cushion Cover: 3,850 yen (tax included)
A cushion cover has also appeared with a pattern motif based on the same Starlight Celebration!
The embroidery-style design is cute, and the sense of luxury is also wonderful.
- Dawntrail Gaming Mouse Pad: 3,300 yen (tax included)
A wide, large-sized gaming mouse pad that can be spread across an entire desk is also on pre-sale!
The design depicting 22 jobs is too cool, reaching a level where you want to display it without using it.
Furthermore, at the store, there are capsule toys for the Final Fantasy XIV Mini Acrylic Block Collection Vol.1 and pre-sales for the Final Fantasy XIV Mini Acrylic Block Collection Vol.2!
The lineup for the Final Fantasy XIV Mini Acrylic Block Collection Vol.2 is as follows:
- Papalymo
- Yda
- Hien
- Yugiri
- Ryne
- Emet-Selch
- Hythlodaeus
- Estinien
- Morokoshi-sama
- Japanese Style Teacup: 1,320 yen (tax included)
Goods such as folding fans and teacups are also lined up in the store, and an awareness toward foreign tourists was felt.
FFXIV, which boasts immense popularity in Europe and the US, is sure to hit the mark with tourists visiting Akihabara!
Novelty distribution to commemorate the opening of FF14 GOODS SHOP AKIHABARA is also being implemented!
When you purchase a total of 3,000 yen or more in goods at the store, you can receive a postcard.
