Capcom Pro Tour 2020, the official world tournament for CAPCOM 's Street Fighter V fighting game, was scheduled to begin in March 2020.
The first half of the schedule was cancelled due to the spread of the new coronavirus, but it has been decided that " CAPCOM Pro Tour Online 2020 " will be held with the format changed to an online tournament, and the schedule for online tournaments in various locations has been announced. Eighteen online regional tournaments will be held starting in June 2020.
CAPCOM Pro Tour Online 2020" will feature 18 online regional tour naments, starting with a tournament in the North America and East region on June 6, 2020, with the winner of each tournament earning an automatic spot in the "CAPCOM CUP 2020". The winner of each tournament will automatically qualify for the "CAPCOM CUP 2020".
In addition to the 18 winners of each tournament, the winner of "CAPCOM CUP 2019", iDom, and one additional player selected through community voting from the 31 finalists of "CAPCOM CUP 2019" will be added for a total of 20 players. CAPCOM CUP 2020.
