CAPCOM's globally popular "Monster Hunter" hunting action game series.
Monster Hunter World, released in January 2018, has evolved with beautiful graphics and a seamless map structure while maintaining the same feel of control, and as of March 2019, it is a very popular title that boasts sales of 12.4 million units worldwide.
"Monster Hunter World: Iceborn", a huge expansion to "Monster Hunter World", is scheduled to be released on September 6, 2019, and an open beta test will be held prior to the release of the game!
Two beta tests will be held!
This beta test will be held on PlayStation4.
There will be two rounds, the first for PS Plus subscribers only, and the second for everyone with a network connection across PS4.
Note that you will not be able to play offline!
The first round for PS Plus subscribers will be held from 19:00 on Friday, June 21, 2019 to 18:59 on Monday, June 24, 2019.
The second round for the whole group is scheduled for Friday, June 28, 2019 at 19:00 - Monday, July 1, 2019 at 18:59.
Multiplayer in Monster Hunter World required a PS Plus subscription, so most hunters nationwide will be PS Plus subscribers, so they can play both times.
3 quests of different difficulty levels
In this beta test, you will be able to play 3 different quests with different difficulty levels.
Beginner level quest [Dos Jugras, the Glutton of the Woods]
Hunting Dos Jugras
Field:Forest of Ancient Trees
The beginner level [Dos Jagras, Glutton of the Forest] is probably the same quest that was in the beta test before Monster Hunter World's release. It is ideal for getting to know the controls and systems.
Intermediate level quest [Hunting Buffalo the Bull]
The intermediate level quest [Hunting Buff Baro the Bull Dragon] introduces the new "Buff Baro" monster. What kind of motion will it use to torment hunters?
Advanced level quest [Tigarex] (Japanese only)
Hunting Tigalex
Field: Migratory frozen ground
In the advanced level [Tigalex in every direction], the powerful enemy "Tigalex" appears. How has its agility, irregular movements, and destructive attacks been reborn?
If you have cleared each quest, you will receive a useful item pack when you start "Monster Hunter World: Iceborn", so be sure to try all the quests.
Experience the new elements ahead of time!
"Monster Hunter World: Iceborn" will also include new elements that were not included in Monster Hunter World.
Clutch Claw
The new action "Clutch Claw" is a new feature added to the Slinger.
The claw-like claw can now be fired at a monster and clutched.
The clutch claw can be used to perform a variety of actions, depending on the situation.
"Monster Ride"
The "Monster Ride" function allows you to ride a monster around the field.
You can call your friends' monsters from each field and ride on their backs to move around the field.
You may be able to go to places you couldn't go if you were riding on a monster...?
New actions added
New actions and new linkages have been added to all weapons.
The newly added actions may be the opportunity to make a breakthrough in a pinch. Let's try them out.
In addition, all weapons can now use the slinger when in the drawn state.
"View Mode"
Now you can compose your screenshots with the addition of "view mode".
With the view mode, you can freely look around the hunter's surroundings and take a memorable shot with your fellow hunters.
